Food for thought...

Is it OK to say, `The Nattammai Achuthan visited Chennai last week'?

If you want to include an individual's name with titles like `Queen', `King', `Prime Minister' and `President', then you normally don't use the definite article `the'. For example, we do not say, `The Queen Elizabeth drank coffee'. We can either say, `The Queen drank coffee' or `Queen Elizabeth drank coffee'. Your sentence is therefore wrong. You can either say, `The Nattammai visited Chennai last week' or `Nattammai Achuthan visited Chennai last week.'

Bugatti in India.. Costliest car in India

The world's most expensive and fastest production car has gone on sale in India, with luxury manufacturer Bugatti making its debut in the land of rickshaws.

The Bugatti Veyron 16.4 Grand Sport, which has a top speed of 407 kilometres (250 miles) an hour, went on display in a car dealership in the capital New Delhi on Thursday priced at 160 million rupees (3.6 million dollars).

Just 150 of the cars will be sold worldwide, though there will be few opportunites for the car to show its performance on India's potholed and notoriously congested roads.

"India is the hub of luxury, the country of the erstwhile Maharajas, who were the
true patrons of bespoke luxury," Bugatti executive Julius Kruta said in a statement, referring to India's former hereditary rulers.

"We have in the past received a heartening response from our valued customers and I think the launch of the Bugatti in India will truly delight our discerning audience."

A host of Western luxury car and motorbike manufacturers are targeting the Indian market where the fast-developing economy is minting new multi-millionaires every year.

Shortcomings in public infrastructure are a major constraint on growth, however, and the nation's road network often features poorly maintained single-lane routes outside highly congested urban areas.

One of the country's best-known fast-car enthusiasts, superstar cricket batsman Sachin Tendulkar, beats the traffic by taking his Ferrari out in the early hours of the morning in his home town of Mumbai.

Iconic motorbike maker Harley-Davidson is the most recent major brand to bet on India's elite and has invested in a glitzy showroom in New Delhi, which opened in July.

India has a record 69 billionaires, with 17 new members added to the exclusive club this year, according to business magazine Forbes.

But some 836 million Indians also live on less than 20 rupees (45 cents) a day, according to a government report, while Indian statistics on health, infant mortality, malnutrition and income are worse than those for sub-Saharan Africa.

How to train PIT BULL...

Training the most dangerous dog, is most more improtant than adopt a dog....
1

Find a spot outside your house (preferably in your back yard) where your pit bull puppy can relieve himself. Place the puppy in the designated area and allow him to become familiar with it.

2

Confine your pit bull puppy to a small area within your home. A good place to confine him is near his sleeping area, because he will be less apt to relieve himself there. The point of doing this is to encourage him to hold back his urge to urinate or defecate. This will teach him control over these urges.

3

When your puppy expresses the need to urinate (excessive sniffing on the ground is a telltale sign), immediately take him outside and place him in the designated area. The younger the puppy is, the less amount of time he'll be able to hold his urine, so make sure you check on him frequently and watch for signs that he needs to go potty.

4

Reward your pit bull puppy with a treat and praise. Pet him, play with him and show him attention so he associates his behavior with a positive experience and will be more likely to repeat the action.

5

Install a doggy door that leads to the area your puppy has been trained to relieve himself in. This is not necessary in potty training him, but he will be less likely to have an accident inside the house if he can go outside at his leisure.

6

If your pit bull puppy relieves himself inside the house, it is not necessary to punish him. Hitting the puppy or shoving his nose in his urine is not an effective way to change his behavior. Attempt to correct his behavior only if you find him in the act of urinating or defecting inside. Tell him "no" in a clear, strong voice and take him outside.

7

Clean and deodorize any urine or feces inside the house as soon as possible. If you do not remove your puppy's waste, he will continue to use the spot to relieve himself.

8

Continue to praise your pit bull puppy's good behavior and correct the bad until he no longer has accidents inside the house.

The way how i got in to corporate of STERIA india ltd

Hi guys ..
First i wanna thank my parents , god and FRIENDS who supported me to achieve this. I have got lots and lots experience before attending interview in STERIA.If i wanna say approximately i have stepped into nearly 30 MNC'S and in all those companies chucked out when once i finished written itself and most of the times i thought its very hard for me get through these interview by clearing all. Then i decided to do some funny malpractices like copying from some one to clear but all those things didn't workout for me.

So at last i decided to do on my own even and i started preparing for all the things that needed for the interview. ALL OF US MUST KNOW ONE THING IN THEIR LIFE.. EXPERIENCE GUIDES ONESELF TO LEAD THEIR LIFE IN A SUCCESSFUL WAY..

After attending few interviews i got few things that i have to change the way of cracking it. STERIA on 13- September -2010 reporting time in RMK engineering college was 8:30 but me though reached there by 10:30. They started conducting their interview process by 11 only , so its became easy for me to attend.

DEAD LINES OF STERIA INDIA LTD
*Written (aps and tech)
*GD
*Technical Round 1
*Technical Round 2
*HR
In written as usual i thought i didn't perform well and i thought soon after the result we would catch the train and leave that as soon as possible but unfortunately i have got through written out of 116, 66 have cleared it and i am one of them.

In GD , its my favorite things in interview even though i am talking well they won't select guys and most of the preference would go towards girls side and then we guys slowly walk out side with funny face (better luck next GD).. but this GD favored to us and we got through to the second round

In HR .. they have tested my flexibility and told me about the companies policy and few things related to it..

In Tech 1.. i don't know his name but he quite good , fair and talking to me well and he asked some questions from CV but i could give him correct answer but he asked me about volley ball and then we were talking about it for few minutes. Then he asked me about my family , why don't you do your fathers occupation( agriculture) and i said some thing about my interest and finally i have asked him about WHAT ALL ARE THINGS I NEED TO IMPROVE BEFORE JOINING OUR COMPANY and for that he abruptly replied first change your CV from next interviews
i started laughing for that.. then i thought oh this interview is gone so we can chase the next one and started moving to my room.. but they have called me for the next tech round
He saw me yesterday and asked when did you join STERIA .. is the one who interviewed in Tech round 1..

In Tech 2.. this is laxman pillai who was interviewed me on that. he is one of the nice in STERIA.he asked some basics things in TESTING and RDBMS.. I have answered it.

This was the time all our heart beats were heard to the one who was sitting near to us, we have waited for the results.. i haven't had thought of getting selected in STERIA and in the cool environment me frequently went for pee...

even at the time of results i was in toilet and when i am coming back one of my class mate(ANU) and DHANUSH from RMK eng.college told me that are you guhan ,they have called your name " from that time onwards i was on cloud nine for the whole night "

i wanna say something to all, if you wanna do something this is the thing i can do it, keep trying until you reach that , never ever give up ..

thank you everyone who supported me knowingly or unknowingly to get into STERIA...

NOW I AM BELONG TO THE CORPORATE OF STERIA…
isn’t funny when you hear it !!

Rajinikanth's younger daughter Soundarya today tied the knot with Ashwin

RED LETTER DAY FOR RAJINI KANTH AND HIS FAMILY....

Tamil film superstar Rajinikanth's younger daughter Soundarya today tied the knot with Ashwin, a city-based entrepreneur at a traditional ceremony here.

Rajinikanth, in a message to his fans, said though he wanted to invite all of them to the marriage, he was unable to do so because of space constraint and logistic reasons. "Hence, with a heavy heart, I took a decision not to invite you. But I request you all to bless the couple," the superstar said.

The wedding was attended by high-profile people like Union Home Minister P Chidambaram, Telegu star and Praja Rajyam President Cheeranjeevi, Kamal Haasan and actor Surya with wife Jyothika among other big names.

Bollywood actress Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, who will be seen with Rajinikanth in mega-budget 'Robot', attended the engagement last night along with husband Abhishek Bachchan.

Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M Karunanidhi and a host of other high profile guests are expected to attend Soundarya's wedding reception this evening.

Rajini himself supervised all the arrangements for the wedding. According to reports, the actor has gifted a brand new apartment to Soundarya, who is the CEO of Ochre Productions.

Soundarya's animation film 'Sultan The Warrior', starring the superstar, is set for release this year. Rajini has lent his voice to the lead character in the project, with music by A R Rahman.

MACHU-PICCHU - now its one among the wonders of the world

If we want to travel and know the history of the world, Machu Picchu could be our alternative tourist destination. Machu Picchu is one evidence of amazing ancient human civilization. Machu Picchu is located in the mountains with altitude 2450 meters above sea level, precisely in the Urumamba Valley, 80 km north of Cusco, Peru State.

Machu Picchu means Old Mountain in Quechua language, which is sometimes called the Lost City of the Inca. Machu Picchu is the most famous symbol of Inca Empire that ever existed in the ancient South America. Location of Machu Picchu was a secret and remote, in the mountains near the precipice, as a form of natural defense.

Construction of buildings in Machu Picchu proves that ancient human civilization has advanced. Machu Picchu was built by the ancient Inca architectural style with walls of polished stone. The main building is Intihuatana, Temple of the Sun and Three Window Room. These places are sacred area of Machu Picchu. There are thousands of very high value artifacts that found there. The central building of Machu Picchu has the classical architectural style with stone wall which is neatly arranged.

Incas were recognized in the world as the best in terms of buildings, including irrigation. Irrigation system was built to bring water from the holy spring to each house in turn. Because the structure of state land in Peru earthquake prone, then the construction of buildings in Machu Picchu built without mortar. The stones were arranged till they can move a little but did not collapse. Design of doors and windows are trapezium-shaped with a certain slope so that spared from the earthquake. How the Inca people can put a large stone blocks on top of the mountain remains a mystery until now.
Now some of the artifacts used for research in order to know more about the history of the Inca tribe. Machu Picchu is estimated to include the generation of the 9th Inca who ruled in the mid-15th century.

All about Rajini.. Once a super star... Always a super star

I am a ardent fan of Rajini...

My tryst with Tamil cinema began when I frequented my aunt’s place at Sillarahalli (Dharmapuri District, Tamil Nadu). Summer holidays simply meant a month-long stay at Sillarahalli and everything Tamil. This little village had one TV meant for public viewing and the evenings never once had a dull moment for all residents, the young and the old, the restless wife-beaters, alcoholics, parents as well as lovers who perhaps got free entertainment during their precious courting time.

A black & white TV (the one with wooden shutters) under a banyan tree fitted with loudspeakers made sure all village folk were thoroughly entertained with Tamil film songs, news and movies. At times, a VCR or a VCP (Video Cassette Player in case people have forgotten them) reduced reliability on Doordarshan. This, coupled with frequent visits to nearby towns to catch a Tamil film got me hooked to, well, Tamil films. To me, Tamil films simply meant two individuals – Rajnikanth & Kamal Haasan. Nothing else really mattered. As I look at Endhiran, Rajnikanth’s next magnum opus out on September 10th, I pinch myself and wonder how this man has held fort as THE superstar down south for 35 long years.

Padma Bhushan Shivaji Rao Gaekwad, better known to all of us as superstar Rajnikant’s rise to superstardom is a classic rags to riches story. His style and mannerisms got him an entry into Tamil cinema when K. Balachander took note and gave him a break in Apoorva Ragangal (1975). There has been no looking back ever since.

Rajni’s rise to fame has largely been his mass appeal. Pretty much all of his hits in the 80s were a rip-off of Amitabh Bachchan classics. These include films like Padikkadavan, Mr Bharath, Thee, Billa, among others. Each of his roles was something the common man could relate to. My father made sure I never missed even one film of his in Bangalore. A regular worker in the industrial sector, a bus conductor (which he really was when he worked in Bangalore), an auto driver, the village brat and a plethora of such like roles made Rajni an instant hit with the masses. Of course, this came with all the attitude and mannerisms that no one could replicate, be it the way he lit his cigarette or his stunts with guns and knives. Rumour has it that Aishwarya Rai, who stars alongside the superstar in Endhiran deliberately ensured that there were several re-takes for a particular shot, only to keep watching Rajni pop a cigarette into his mouth effortlessly.

Rajni’s philosophy on giving back to the society through philanthropy, his take on life and lessons to be learnt on simplicity and humility have always given him a cult-like status. Almost every time he is given a chance to speak, fans scream loud enough to make sure you don’t understand what is being said. More importantly, modesty acquires a whole new meaning when he starts uttering those first few words, be it on-screen or off it. His noble acts like compensating the producers of Baba & Kuselan for the losses they incurred, as well insisting that he won’t charge a penny for Endhiran until it is declared a superhit (as claimed by the producer who recently went on record) indeed catapults him to superstar status.

When Muthu was dubbed in Japan as Muthu: The Dancing Maharajah, Rajni even became a rage in Japan. Such is his fan-following that people even travelled from Bangalore to a nearby town in Tamil Nadu when Sivaji did not release on time in Karnataka. When they did make it to the theatre on time, the theatre owner first displayed a picture of the superstar on-screen, much before the censor board certificate appeared. This is purely for the benefit of the fans who actually performed a full-fledged pooja (along with a priest seated in the front stalls) before the projector rolled. If the audience immensely appreciates a song, especially the classic Rajni entry songs that are common to his films, the audiences even ensure that it is repeated. A friend even narrated an incident where this die-hard fan made it to Chennai, all the way from Australia, only to make sure he caught the first-day-first-show. Most single theatres in Tamil Nadu began the first show as early as 5 am in the morning. Several single theatres thus ran over 10 shows in a day, all booked to the last seat.

At the recent launch of Endhiran’s music in Kuala Lumpur, ace Tamil lyricist Vairamuthu summarized the life of the superstar stating this was the only actor who has managed to connect with all four generations of moviegoers. In Vairamuthu’s own words, Rajni sang for his first song as a lyricist. Rajni continues to do that 35 years later. Only this time, Vairamuthu’s son debuted as a lyricist for his first Tamil film – Endhiran.

Although Rajni has clearly indicated that he will no more play a hero and rather don roles that are more attuned to his age after Endiran, he is and shall always remain the quintessential superstar.

Worlds Tallest Dog 7 feet taller.. GREAT DANE

Standing at nearly 43 inches tall from paw to shoulder and weighing a staggering 245lbs could this be the world's new tallest dog?

Pictured here in the parks of Tuscon, Arizona, George, a four-year-old blue great dane, looks more like a miniature horse than a dog.

Now George's owners, David and Christine Nasser, are awaiting confirmation from Guinness World Records to see if he has achieved the lofty heights. 'He's 42.625 inches at the shoulder,' said David. 'He's very very unique.'

Dr. William Wallace of the Buena Pet Clinic in Tucson, who witnessed the documentation necessary for the Guinness record, said: 'In my 45 years of experience working with giant breed dogs, without question, George is the tallest dog I have ever seen.'
